What is RSS? RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds are free content feeds from Web sites that contain article headlines, summaries and links back to full-text articles on the Web.
How do I get RSS feeds? To start seeing RSS feeds, you need to download an RSS Reader (there are a lot of free ones available) or create an account at an online feed reader application. Both Yahoo and Google provide a list of RSS Readers.
Once you've downloaded the RSS Reader you want, you simply subscribe to the RSS feeds you want by going to the site that provides that content. You can get the following RSS feeds from BCBS.com here.
What are the benefits of using RSS? RSS is an easy way for you to be alerted when content that interests you appears on BCBS.com and other sites. Instead of visiting a particular Web site to browse for new articles and features, RSS automatically tells you when something new is posted online.
